The Veterans Park on the south side of Deer Creek is still a work in progress. The park's plaza includes granite monuments, flags, paving markers and a huge bell. The St. Cloud Diocese began its partnership with the Diocese of Homa Bay, Kenya about 17 years ago. Since then, sister-parish partnerships have formed and delegations have visited back and forth. Fifteen delegates came from Homa Bay, Kenya to Minnesota on September 20 and stayed through October 3 with host families throughout the St. Cloud Diocese.
